Berkley Lake
Situated just off the A36 near The Frome Livestock market at Standerwick.
This lovely little lake is set over 2 acres consisting of around 30 swims. Although small in size Berkley Lake has a good head of medium size Carp up to around 10lb and a good stock of silver fish with good size roach etc making Berkley a good all round lake for all ages and abilities all year round. You will catch on most baits, with bread, corn, meat and maggot working well. Match weights on the lake are averaging 150lbs bagging up mainly with carp. The lake is part of the Berkley Estate set in the lovely and peaceful Somerset countryside. It is a fair walk to the lake and I would recommend that you travel light. At the end of the car park you will see a large oak tree with a WDAC sign on it, go left and follow the path across to the woods, through the wooden gate and follow the path to the lake. Fishing is from dawn till dusk and night fishing is by prior arrangement through the Club shop.
